The schools were established in 1947 as a non-profit institution that applies an educational philosophy emanating from the objectives of the Islamic Cultural Society. It has been opened by His Majesty King Abdullah the founder- God's mercy be upon him. His Majesty King Hussein Bin Talal -God's mercy be upon him- and His Majesty King Abdullah II and a number of princes and nobles in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the Arab and Islamic countries have studied and graduated from it.
The main school goals are the graduation of youth Muslim generations that are aware of the role of science and faith, within an educational approach of a moderate Islam. The school is licensed by the Ministry of Education of Jordan, and includes in addition to the national program a number of foreign programs: such as the British program and the American program and the international baccalaureate and BTEC which provide the requested study of the curriculum in line with the vision and mission of the schools with a focus on teaching English and Chinese besides Arabic. Islamic Educational College schools focus on activities and aspects of creativity among students, and working to increase their interaction with the local community, assisted by the obtainable resources such as: school buildings, facilities, equipment, technical and technological aspects and qualified personnel. The current number of students is almost 7,100 students, knowing nearly 22,000 students have graduated from the schools since its inception until 2024.
